Chio Siwon is known for being an active supporter for UNICEF, an organization that works in 190 countries and territories to help save children’s lives, giving them the chance to fulfill their potential and defending their rights from childhood through adolescence.
UNICEF’s mission: “Every child has the right to grow up in a safe and inclusive environment.”
Siwon works to help promote these principles and protect children around the world. He has worked with this campaign since 2010 and helped eradicate AIDS. In 2013, he was part of the “Santa Campaign,” which was to help children in need during the holiday season. In 2014 he was a part of the “Pop Coin Campaign” and in 2015 he helped spread awareness for the “Nepal Bracelet Campaign” which raised funds for those effected by the earthquake in Nepal.
After his release from the military Siwon volunteered for a campaign named “SMile for U”, a music education program for children with disabilities which is part of his agency. SM Smile’s vision: “Our dream is to build a future where we can all smile together through culture. Together, we are building a miraculous future where we can dream and smile all we want.”
Siwon is a big supporter of helping children find happiness and making sure they grow up in a safe environment. “From henceforth I hope to do more so that every child in the world can be happy,” he said.
