Uee’s Singles and Project Groups

Hey guys Kennie here and today I’m going to talk about Uee’s two singles and her participation in a project group

Sok Sok Sok

Uee’s first single she released was with called Sok Sok Sok which she performed with NU’EST member JR. This is an upbeat and catchy song about a girl, Uee, falling in love with a guy, JR, and talking about all the emotions she is feeling. She sing that everything of her is becoming his and that the world seems to be becoming just him and her. Later in the song when JR starts singing you find out that they both feel the same way about each other. It is an altogether heartwarming song that with get caught in your head!

Hero is a song Uee performed on Barefoot Friends, episode 18. She wrote the song to her hero, her father. Uee’s father is a former pro-baseball player and the coach for South Korea’s team, Nexen Heroes. She sings in the song how he is irreplaceable to her and he is her beloved only father. She tells him that since she is now taller than him he can lay his head to rest on her shoulder if he needs to. It is obvious while watching the performance how much he means to her and how much she loves him.

4Tomorrow was a project group started for Samsung’s Tomorrow campaign in 2009. It consisted of Gain from Brown Eyed Girls, SeungYeon from Kara, HyunA from 4minute, and Uee from After School. They released the song “Tomorrow” in October 2009 and reunited in December of that year for Music Bank and performed a cover of Baek Ji Young’s song “My Ear’s Candy” with 2PM’s Taecyeon and did a dance performance. Uee performed at one of their vocals.
