Throughout his career, Eric has made several appearances in soundtracks for dramas. From power ballads ton songs that make you want to dance, Eric is one of the most versatile artists in the industry. Let’s take a look at a few of Eric’s OSTs!
“Cool Guy” – Let’s Eat OST
Let’s Eat is a story that follows four people who love to live alone but do not like to eat by themselves. Spanning 16 episodes, viewers watch as these four people’s lives become intertwined through their love of food. This drama stars Lee Soo-kyung, Yoon Doo-joon, Yoon So-hee, and Shim Hyung-tak and, for those of you who are fans of BIGSTAR, Feeldog makes a recurring appearance!
Eric’s song “Cool Guy” is the second song released for this drama and it’s such a fun song. The beat makes you want to move and Eric’s voice really gives the song a groove. He’s so perfectly suited to this song that I honestly couldn’t see anyone else singing this.
“Before the Sun Sets” – Mad Dog OST
Yoo Ji-tae, Woo Do-Hwan, and T-ARA’s Hwayoung star in this 2017 drama about a former police office and leader of an insurance investigation team who loses everything in an airplane crash. Enter a handsome former swindler (did I mention he’s also a genius?) whose brother was also killed in the crash and a rivalry is instantly formed. These two headstrong men must set their differences aside and work together if they want to find out what really happened to that airplane.
“Before the Sun Sets” is one of those songs that as soon as you hear it, you feel emotional even if you don’t really know why. Eric has a voice that draws every piece of emotion from your soul and this song really lets him show that off.
“In Your Days” – SOS Please Help Me OST
SOS Please Help Me aired in 2014 and is the Korean remake of the Japanese drama Strawberry on the Shortcake that was released in 2001. It ran for 12 episodes and depicts various couples whose love is doomed to fail and the painful situations you can experience with your first love.
Eric Nam pairs up with SS501’s Kyujong for “In Your Days” and a better pairing won’t be found. Kyujong’s power vocals and Eric’s sweet voice make for a beautiful song and it’s something that I can easily have on repeat the whole day and never realize.
What do you guys think of Eric’s OST’s?
