Park Jimin to Jamie

Park Jimin was born July 5, 1997 in Daejeon. She lived in Thailand for 8 years and went to Garden International School Bangkok. She graduated from the Hanlim School of Performin Arts in 2016 alongside Baek Yerin and GOT7’s Yugyeom.

Jimin won the first season of K-Pop Star in 2011 and was given the opportunity to sign with SM, JYP, or YG. She was also awarded a new Hyundai i40, 300 million won, was given an opportunity to sign a contract as a CF model, and was cast in a drama. Choosing to sign with JYP, she debuted in 2012 with Baek Yerin as duo 15&. Two years late, Jimin became the co-host of After School Club (ASC).

2015 was a big year for Jimin as she made her official debut as a solo artist, released a single with Eric Nam for charity, and became a member group of project group M.O.L.A alongside UNIQ’s Seungyoun and rapper Nathan. 15& also officially went on hiatus. In 2016, she released her first self-composed album.

Her seven year contract with JYP expired in 2019 and Jimin left the company, marking the de facto disbandment of 15&. On April 21, 2020, she signed with Warner Music Korea and will now promote under the name Jamie.
