Jackie Faye – The Pride of Dallas

Jackie Faye was born and raised in Dallas, Texas and grew up in the dirty south surrounded by the influences of Erykah Badu and Outkast. Data engineer by day, Jackie has gotten her name out there through performances for cultural organizations like Joy Ruckus Club. Wearing her swag like armor, Jackie is ready to burst into the male-dominated music industry and make her mark as an outstanding female artist.

Joy Ruckus Club hosted a two day streaming event in August to highlight the talents of Asian American Artists. This was the first time I got to see Jackie perform and I was immediately captivated. Her music drew me in and her down-to-Earth personality really made me a fan. She was having a lot of fun with her set and I really enjoyed watching her. This past October, Joy Ruckus Club put on a second two day streaming event and I was really excited to see Jackie perform again. In case you missed it, take a look at her set below!

Jackie released “LING LING”, a remix of Lil Pump’s “Iced Out”. I loved Jackie’s attitude in the video and her swag really came through the screen. I also appreciated the YU-GI-OH! shirt…..I thought that added a nice touch. Her voice really lends itself to this sort of a beat and I found myself bouncing around and smiling the whole song. Jackie’s song “Right Place, Wrong Time” showcases her softer side and proves that not only can she rap, she’s got a beautiful singing voice too. Listen to it on Spotify here!

Just last month, Jackie released her debut single “JACKIE FAYE ADVENTURES” featuring Chow Mane. As soon as I heard it, it was automatically put on repeat. It’s one of those songs that really sticks with you and you easily become obsessed with. I love the multi-lingual aspect of the song and Chow Mane’s lyricism and wit adds another fascinating layer to “JACKIE FAYE ADVENTURES”. Give it a listen on SoundCloud here!

Jackie Faye is just getting started and, I don’t know about you guys, but I can’t wait to see where she goes from here! Her pure sex appeal and down-to-Earth realism is a deadly combination and her style of music is a much needed injection into the music industry. Love Jackie as much as we do? Follow her on Spotify, YouTube, Instagram, Tumblr, Twitter, SoundCloud and Facebook to stay updated on all her new releases and make sure to check back in the Spring; Jackie will be releasing a brand new music video alongside her EP!
